Hi hoops... See my post #92 in this thread. I have a 2012 diesel altitude. I did not have the new tail shaft fitted. My post has more details. I don't have a lift but I can definitely tell you that the clunk stopped after my dealer installed the new tail shaft. If your build date is similar to mine, then you would definitly not have the new tail shaft. I don't think they were even putting them in 2013 build Prado's. Get them to show you the Toyota bulletin.

They have blamed it on the fact that it has been raised (with ARB's OME) and therefore the angles have changed, wiping their hands of any responsibility.
I assume that other people who have experienced the problem and had it rectified, have also had theirs raised and that its BS that it has anything to do with it??
I also assume that its BS that mine was delivered with an updated part?
Any info/help would be appreciated.Last edited by Riv39; 09-05-2016, 12:39 PM.2010 150 Glacier White GXL D4D Auto

Anyone had any luck getting the issue resolved when out of warranty?
I've got a 2012 that I bought second hand and am wondering if its worth pursuing or not?
Just with the clunk as well, it is something that is doing damage or going to end up failing or is it just a user preference thing?
Obviously its not ideal
