Long shot here. Does anyone know if the 35kph speed limit that prevents a manual change from 2nd to 1st on an auto can be increased to 40 or 45 kph ? It has to draw the speed requirement from somewhere.

The only way I changed mine (on a 3 speed petrol auto Toyota Corona many years ago) was when I changed the exhaust system to give less back pressure. Had an increase in gear top speeds, however, the camshaft was modified a bit as well.
Don't know if a new exhaust will increase your limit on a diesel (as I have a petrol 150), hopefully a diesel owner may be able to advise.
Yowie.

Might have to put that one to the dealer me thinks.....the update to the firmware to fix the hesitation on downshifting has changed a lot of settings and it does hold lower gears for longer. Not sure whether it would have been changed 1st and 2nd though as it appears to have mainly focused on 3, 4 & 5.2010 150 Glacier White GXL D4D Auto
