Hi All,
I have notice today a low pitched whirling noise under the Prado (150), sounds like metal rubbing on metal (very dull noise). I was thinking it was suspension as the noise does not vary with speed and sounds like suspension creak.
It seems to be when the car rises and falls over normal road variations, it is random.
Anyway, I got home and bounced the prado up and down (working the suspension) on the car and there were no noises...
I am wondering if it is the tail shaft extending and contracting (don't know the technical term) as the car rises and falls, since this seems to only been happening since I had the service last week and they worked on "greasing the shaft" so to speak.
Anyone know what I am talking about?
