LH Front CV Boot

Has anyone ever had a CV boot just sort of fall off??
My Front Left has dislodged from the motor side.
Toyota are going to fix it tomorrow (they say it should be a warranty job). Just curious if this happens often.

The stainless steel bands that hold the boot sometimes are not done up properly from the factory. I had a grease leak from the wheel side. Was fixed by removing the shaft, cleaning, regreasing and installing 2 x new bands.

Turns out it may have taken a hit from something while up in the High Country on the weekend. So its not going to be repaired under warranty. But its good to know that they may not be done up correctly in the first place.
