No problems removing the map light cover, but for the life of me I cannot pull the bulbs straight out. Maybe I'll get the wife to try, her lady-fingers might get a better grasp of the bulb than my portly digits.Originally posted by stevep84 View PostHi SimpleSi,
A small screwdriver to lever down the front of the clear map light cover and it pulls straight out.
The bulbs are a T10 wedge and will just pull out.

2 minor problems: Can't figure out how to remove the bulbs from the map lights? In post #7 of this thread, he says "push in and turn". Not working for me.
And the double sided 3M tape for the LED pad didn't work. No matter how hard I tried I couldn't remove the plastic sheet to reveal the sticky stuff. (Old 3M tape?)
Anyway here are the before and after says it all. No trick photography:

That is impressive, thanks for the comparison photos, I need to get the 48 LED light in the back as well.

The light in those photos look quite blue, you can use "warm" LEDs which give a more natural light. I used then for my conversion and its hard to tell that they are LEDsLast edited by krypto; 29-05-2013, 01:33 AM.Steve

It might be the photo, but in the car it just comes accross as white.Originally posted by krypto View PostThe light in those photos look quite blue, you can use "warm" LEDs which give a more natural light. I used then for my conversion and its hard to tell that they are LEDs
Personally I prefer the cool white to the warm tint.
I've got a very bright led flashlight with a warm tint, keeps colours more realistic, but I always find myself going back to my cool white flashlights.

Well I guess I am different. I had no trouble with the map lights, door lights but the centre is a different story. Can not get that one out no matter which way I go.
How did you pop the lens on that one?
