  • Buying fuses

Ive searched google and PP and can't find a link to this,if there is one I apologise.

Im interested to see if anyone else has tried to buy those larger male and female box like fuses which are found in the fuse box under the bonnet. I think they are a 'C' fuse? and they are responsible for things like the fuel pump, glow plugs, alternator etc

I have tried the usual suspects like Autopro and Repco but they don't have the ones I'm after ( one of them is 120A), and I ended up at the local Toyota dealer who quoted me $300+ for the four fuses I was after!!! Funnily enough they suggested I look for them on the Internet!!

So I'm wondering where and if other members have found these fuses and how much as I can't seem to find them on the Internet anywhere

If you want spares why not try auto wreckers and look through other Jap wrecks, not just Prados, for the fuses you want. Could be cheap as. I found some comparable fuses and relays in a Camry wreck just before I blew it to bits for a training exercise.

        Thanks Bushbasher,

Funny you should say try a wrecker a mate also suggested the same today.

But I'll admit hadn't thought of trying other Toyota models I've been ringing around looking for 150's!!

We've got a 4wd wrecker locally I'll head over there Monday and have a look at some, cheers.

        Otherwise I'll try LeighW idea!
