Altitude/Kakadu Rear Entertainment System Remote

Can anyone tell me if you need a remote to make the rear screen work in a Kakadu? I have a demo 150 Kakadu on loan at the moment but there's no manual in the glovebox - grrr! I've figured out how to get the rear screen down but can't get it to do anything other than display the AM/DVD/Video menu. I have the disc playing on the front screen but can't get anything happening on the rear. There's no remote anywhere in the glovebox, etc; I thought it was all touch screen.

I saw the remotes on ebay for around $200 from the USA. Some one stole mine. They must have owned a Prado too.

yes, you can turn on the rear screen from the front control screen.

how do you control and select the inputs to the rear TV screen without the remote? I have to use the remote to select the correct input on my rear TV.

Cannot control the blu ray screen fully without the remote. I've checked the manual and the manual also confirms this. $700 for a new remote. I'm not impressed right now.

Can someone please help, I have a 2012 Toyota Kakadu but no DVD Remote I have brought a logitech harmony remote. Is there someone willing to program it for me from there remote I am willing to send you the logitech harmony remote plus pay for postage and your time to program it it for me.

Hi Are you able to help with programming the logitech harmony remote?

I have the same problem - missing original remote and no way to work the DVD system without it.
I have a spare Logitech remote that I hoped might work but someone needs to program a copy of the original remote or upload a logitech version to the logitech website. Happy to pay for postage (and return).

If you think the Logitech unit can 'learn' from the Toyota unit, you can send it to me with return postage.
Hopefully there are 'teaching' instructions for the Logitech

Just putting it out here, if anyone in Melbourne needs to use my remote to program a Logitech one I’m more than happy to help out.

Thanks so much for the offer! I would have done this but thankfully I found the remote... thought I'd checked everywhere but it was right underneath the back seats (under the flap parts) and it really hurt my arm getting it out of there. I was looking for something else one of the kids dropped... Couldn't believe what I found!
