Does anyone know if it possible to program the electric mirrors so that they swing in with ignition off and out with ignition on?

Yep, all good in hindsight but surely someone bumping the mirror in a car park should not be enough to render the thing useless. I don't see many cars where the owners have folded their mirrors in in car parks.

I asked my dealer today if they can program the side mirrors to auto fold-in on motor turn off or car lock.
They advised me that this is not possible and is only available on the Kakadu.
I didn't know the VX mirrors were different than the Kakadu, but doesn't matter, looks like I will just have to remember to push the button to fold them in when needed.
Cheers,

Can't imagine it would be that hard to wire so that it is connected to ignition / accessory, like the rear view camera hack.Steve

I don't think Toyota can help, so it's just another button to push.
Some of us are getting lazy, wanting to push a button to do everything. My first car was a Morris Minor, air conditioning was opening the windows with the window winder, no central locking, no radio, and when the battery went flat, it was matter of using a crank handle to turn the engine over to fire up.

2. If she forgets, it means an extra night of entertainment for you provided by her!
3. Don't let her drive the Prado.
