On the subject of the cig lighter connectors, has anyone changed them for another type of connector? I have never been a fan of the old ciggy lighter for constant power.

Unfortunately the 12V outlet circuit in the 150 does not have a relay to jumper and all 12V outlets are on the same fuse.
However the 230V inverter circuit is separate to the 12V outlets and does have a relay that could be replaced with a jumper. Have not found or looked for it yet. No switch on inverter.
I did that to the 12V outlets on my old 95 and similar on its power window relay. Have not got around to it on the 150 yet.
If you do do something like this be cautious about discharging the main battery as many others have noted.
Cheers

Hi Leigh,
The 15Amp power outlet fuse is fed from the accessory circuit which is switched via the ACC relay, the only other fuse on this relay apart from the 15A one is a 7.5 Amp for accessories whatever they may be.
I had a thought that a cheap and nasty way to get permanent 12V at the outlets would be to remove the 15A power outlet fuse and connect to the downstream side of the fuse position with a 4.8mm quick connect male terminal (oops see below) which is then connected to a permanent source of 12V via a suitable 15 Amp inline fuse. Do not use a bigger fuse it is there to protect the wiring which is not too heavy anyway.
Actually I have not checked the physical size of fuse and I think it is the smaller variety so that idea may not be practical.
Personally I will not have to do this as I have a second battery and use that for the 12V outlets I have in the cabin.
Cheers

So assuming the ACC relay only switches the accessories, ie power outlet, possibly radio and inverter
as long as the standby current is negligible ie les than say 100ma-200ma then you could jumper out

No don't think it's that simple. The accessory cct 7.5 Amp fuse has a feed into the main body ecu and possibly others ecus around the place. This car is full of them and they are all probably interlinked. I do not want to try and trace all that out. Accessories may not be just accessories but switched voltage into other control units. No wonder there is so much extra weight in this model.
