changing prado stereo

Hey all I am new here, just wondering on some advice on a stereo change in my 150 I looking at single din cd player with my 2way under it speakers all round and just have a few questions.
1 what size speakers in the front door
2 is it easy to hook up an aftermarket deck into the old spot
3 would it be easier to buy a harness to go from old plug to new stereo if so does anyone know the one I would need.

and also is there anything else I need to be carful of when doing this like will I need spacers 4 the door or anything

Easy to hook up after market ones. Bought a Chinese one together with headrests with Video on them. Had it for about 3 years now and has not missed a beat. Works great, SatNav, DVD, Radio, USB, plays avi videos via a SD card so have about 20 movies for the kids to watch while we are traveling. If you get the one to suit your model and year it will come with the correct plugs to simply plug into the factory DIMM and fit the dash as well.

Only have these from when I was installing it. Looks a lot worse than it is with the dash apart.

This might be fine for a 120 but 150 is a lot more work as you have to move existing rear view screen to the position of the radio with a new molding then fit the new radio up the top, the existing unit slopes downward. I fitted Sat/Nav all in one from Brash imports. I then picked a UHF that had all controls on the mike and hid the unit behind the kick panel.

I recently purchased a 150 with the standard head unit removed and a double din placed up the top where the trip data is displayed. The previous owner (Luke666) had done an excellent job changing over the fittings to make it work. He did have a build post on the forum.

Does the trip computer still work as before? I can see it partially in the last image there but just want to be sure before I start.

There is no trip computer at all there now. All the information is shown in the dash. The reverse camera is hooked up to head unit.
