While I haven't done this since I was 18 you can get line Amos that take the amplified output from the head unit amp, and amplify it for bigger speakers. Cheap and effective way of doing what you after. But my days of doof doof are over.
Can't help with the audio out, but why not just get an amp that takes high
level signals in and connect to one of the speakers?

I think you're on the wrong forum. I guess most blokes go through the fad of putting loud noise boxes in cars. These days I need the space for many other things.
Theres plenty of retail outlets that specialise in the sort of thing you're after.
maybe he wants more base? The Kakadu has OK base, but it lacks the feel that a large Sub and big amp can provide.
A poster somewhere .. !! has replaced some of his speakers too ... perhaps that is a way to get at the amps base.
I think the sound - in the front at least (I haven't tried the rear) is very good. Better than my wife's RX350, which has the Mark levenson system and is very good ... but it does lack base or punch to a greater extent than the last of the pre update Kakadus IMO (my reference as I know sound systems changed).
