    12v Outlets

    Could someone please tell me how many and the locations of 12v sockets are in the 2014 GXL

    One near the handbrake and one near the rear a/c controls in the middle. So two in total.

        Isn't there 1 in the rear cargo area?
        2007 GXL V6 - ARB Bullbar with LED lights, snorkel, extractors, 2 1/4" dual exhaust, K&N filter, dimpled/slotted rotors, headrest dvd players, Ebay Satnav/reverse camera, GME 3100TX, Tigerz11 Side awning on custom brackets with Maxtrax mounts, 300W Invertor, ARB Underbody protection, Lightbar and STZ 265/70 tyres.
        Wish list in order I'll get them: Sliders, 2" lift, E-locker, Winch bar with winch.

          Nope, there is only the 240v outlet, but that is only good for charging your phone. I have run a 80lt weaco from the centre outlet and a small engel from the front one all the way to Kalbarri. The usb's are bloody useless for charging anything. I need to start running some cables.

            First thing I did was two 20A plugs off a dual battery. Magic.

              +1 with the dual battery setup.
              After owning my car for 1.5 years and trying to run a 40l fridge off the standard sockets i gave up..
              Installed a dual battery setup last sunday! I should have done it much sooner!!

                fridges will also run from the 240v outlet in the rear. run my Engel 38L from there all the time, no problems.

                  I've run my Waeco CF-50 from the rear power outlet without any problems at all

                    You can run appliances from the 240v outlet but it's very inefficient stepping up voltage, just to step it down again to 12v for the fridge.

                      Only 1-2 amps though, so nothing more than a standard light bulb really.
