An LED headlight conversion could possibly be considered...I really know nothing on this subject except that it is possible...

Just returned from a 2 and a half month drive, Sydney to Perth, the coast and inland areas south of there, and back home.
After a few weeks of bouncy roads and small corrugations on some dirt roads, one of the Philips globes was out whilst the Prado was being serviced at Manjimup Toyota, so I kept a check on the other globe, and it too was out a couple of weeks later. I replaced both globes with a pair I bought from Repco, and kept the new one from Manji Toyota as a spare.
On the back of the Philips globe was stamped "Made in Germany", thought they would have lasted longer.

Ive been a bit bothered by the mis matching colours of lights on my front end.
My britax spotties have a blue ring around them, the led on my tjm bullbar are white, and my headlights and parkers were the standard warm yellow colour.
So after reading this thread I got motivated to changed the bulbs.
I got the Philips Whitevision T11 for the Low beam, they are whiter and brighter, and I bought the Narva Arctic Blue T10 wedge for the park lights.
I almost ordered the Philips Diamond Vision bulbs online because they come with matching park light bulbs, but I didnt want to risk getting fakes and I also didnt want to risk having a blue colour to my headlights. I really just wanted things whiter and brighter.
Because SuperCheap had the Whitevision "on special" for $80 it wasn't much cheaper to get them online anyway.
Now that I've changed the bulbs over it occurs to me I should have taken a photo with one side changed over and one side original so you guys can see the difference....
I could easily see the difference when I changed one side over, with both sides done it all looks much more uniform in colour on the front end. I'm looking forward to it getting dark.
I am noticing that the Arctic blue T10 Wedge does seem slightly yellow still, but not as yellow as the originals. I'm still happy with the immediate result.

Yes, another reason for not going cooler than the WhiteVision, they are at 4100k and advertise 40% more light than standard globes.
The diamond vision and crystal vision dont advertise extra light they seem to be all about colour. The Xtreme vision and whitevision seem to be the ones to go for, for extra light and a change of colour.
I can't confirm 40% but they do seem brighter than standard.

Just bought a set of the Philips H11 Xtreme Vision. And not that happy with the difference from stock. They are a slightly whiter light, only just noticeable, and they're not putting out any more light than the standard ones I took out. I left one of each in there just to see the difference of colour.
Stock globes were Philips H11-LL (which is long life I assume?) And these new ones had H11-C (crystal vision?)
Back to the drawing board...

from what I read the Xtreme Vision is really only meant to be brighter and very slightly whiter.
The WhiteVision is meant to be Whiter and brighter, and the diamond and crystal vision are just whiter/bluer, not brighter.
Thats why I chose the WhiteVision, I can't say that the white vision is much brighter than the standard globes, but it is brighter and a much nicer white light.
The standard headlight globes in the 150 is osram. So I think your globes may have already been upgraded if they are philips. That could explain why you didnt see a difference in brightness?

Yeah I thought it was strange they were already Philips in there? Was under the impression they would be Osram.
They definitely hadn't been upgraded as car was built in December and I picked it up first week of January. Can't see my dealer swapping the low beam bulbs just for the hell of it?
They might be possibly a touch brighter than those originals but everything just looks dull now that I've got some ARB Intensity lights on there. Goes from daytime to low beam which is a bit of a difference!! I don't think any type of bulb will give me the light I want!! Haha
