Hi from the Netherlands.
I just traded my 3-door KDJ155 diesel for a 5-door GRJ150 V-6 petrol from 2010. It is the “Executive”-version, which more or less equals the Kakadu (with air suspension).
I had planned a dual battery installation in the engine bay, based on all the information found in this forum. So I was prepared for relocation of the steering fluid reservoir and a/c pipe support. But when I opened the hood, this is what I saw:
Meanwhile, I learned this is a “manifold air injection pump”, meant to combust unburnt fuel in the exhaust sytem. Is this an exclusively European environmental piece of equipment, or do you find this also in Australia? Have not seen it on any of the pics in the forum. Does anyone know how to deal with it?
Regards, Terry
