  • Issues after replace clock spring

Hello guys, I need some help.
My car horn, was failing, the fuse, relay and horn was fine. Finally I detected that the problem was the clock spring.
Then after replace the clock spring the horn is working fine but my dashboard It lighted up with 2 icons (slip indicator and Electronic Power Steering warning), I used a car code reader and I got a error "C1433 steering angle sensor internal circuit".
After read a lots of articles in internet all says that is needed recalibrate the SAS (steering angle sensor). I donīt want to spend a lots of money in the the car agency.
Any one have idea if this procedure using the diagnostic wires is safe and work with my prado 150 series http://alflash.com.ua/tsb/ZERO%20POI...ALIBRATION.pdf
Or if any one can share with me other ideas about how I can fix this.

    Thanks in advance.

Sorry Rafaels. Maybe a bit late for you but maybe a help for others.
When mine failed a couple of years ago I just rewired the horn direct to a push button on the dash via battery and external fuse.
    About $30 and perfectly legal.
Cost of a clockspring and time for replacement just prohibitive for an older car.

Did you happen to rotate the steering column while you were performing the replacement?

After removing the steering wheel to slightly adjust angle I seem to have the same issue...
