The LED headlights are controlled by via CAN bus as such you need to buy the driving light loom from aToyota.
Do a search hereand you will find information re connecting driving lights the latest model 150.'18 VX, Billies with Dobinson springs, Summit bar with Narva Enhanced Optics to help my old eyes

Just going thru this on my new 2019 GXL (delivery in 3 weeks). Everyone is saying you need the Genuine Toyota harness due to the Canbus system on the new LED headlights. The harness looks (in the photos) like a comprehensive install. It runs across and then through the dash. Narva, and ARB both tell me this is the only safe way, as you run the risk of damage/warranty issues with the canbus. Toyota Harness is around $150 or $330 installed (with genuine matching switch) - not including lights. There's some pretty smart people in this forum, so sooner or later someone will find a way.
Just realized - my $330 quote is - discard switch that comes with harness and fit aftermarket switch in existing "blank" to match other switches, no drilling into new panel.Last edited by pradofamilywa; 27-05-2019, 05:09 PM.

I think your better off using the genuine loom, it’s not cheap but then $136.00 is not a huge amount considering what we have paid for Prado itself.
It is not hard to fit, buy a set of plastic trim removal tools to assist & follow the instructions that come with the loom. You end up with a nice & neat install that functions without issue. Plus you can run wires to the rear at the same time.
I would suggest getting an switch to fit in one of the blanks instead of using the supplied switch (and drilling a hole in the dash) plus you then know more about your vehicle.

You can use any harness but you need to run the activation wires back to the headlight stalk anyway.
my issue is, I have the genuine harness, lights installed, but am trying to figure how to wire the Stedi switch to the harness. Got the dash illumination sorted but which ever way I wire the switch circuit, the green on/off indicator is backwards. Ie on when off and off when on. Any help would be appreciated.

Stedi's instruction that came with the piggyback plug itself is good, but not 100% comprehensive, still a bit of guessing to do. Let me know if you have any question and I'll see if I can answer given I just did it a few days ago.
