Factory Bull Bar Light Bar Recommencation

Hi,

Looking to install a light bar on by factory alloy bull bar (2019 Prado). Any recommendations on a model that will fit the existing holes in the bull bar and not interfere with the radar cruise?

I prefer a bar to driving lights as I want illumination on the sides closes in, I don't need a laser beam 1k out.

I know this doesn’t answer your question, but I’ve tried a range of different light combinations over the years and a set of led driving lights will give way better side illumination than any light bar I’ve seen. They will also provide better distance vision as a bonus.
Currently I run a road vision bar under my rhino rack, and whilst it’s adequate, it falls well short of a set of led lights in all areas. It’s only up there as I wanted airflow to the radiator since I have a winch etc in front of it too, and didn’t want to have trouble with the radar.
Other than that, sorry I don’t know what bar will fit without blocking the radar.

In the ARB Smart Bar Technical specifications available on their web site, they published the area which must be kept clear of the radar in the centre of the grill for the Prado.
Additionally, Toyota have a Light Bar as an option, look up those specs.

Thanks. I'll have a look at the ARB info. I didn't see a light bar on the Toyota catalogue for the 150 series, only the 300 series. I asked to have an aftermarket bar installed when I bought my car bus was told it would interfere with the radar. I've seen cars with the same bar on the road with a slim line bar and they seem to work.

Toyota had a factory lightbar when I purchased my GXL in August 2021, I still have the Toyota Brochure showing it, but you are right it's not on their current web site.

I had fitted last month two 225mm ARB Solis driving lights on the outer side of my Smartbar, with no known ill effects for the last month.
Prior to that I had two 225mm Cibie Super Oscars, which sat fractionally more outwards, the autonomous Accident Braking system functioned twice in the fifteen months I had those on.
You can get driving lights which work, if in doubt just get a bit smaller than what I have.

A few years ago I fitted a https://ultra-vision.com.au/product/...led-light-bar/
Very good performance and you can choose the light colour (I went to 4700k). Almost too bight on road signs but the newer models have a 2 level switch.
I also fitted Stedi LED fog light units which are massively brighter than standard yet are legal (unlight bulb replacement). I also use Philips +150% bulbs in the reflectors for normal high and low beam.
