Just want to confirm, you've fitted one of these into the existing opening and its a neat fit?

All the previous discussion seems to be that you have to buy the new facia kit.

I think digoptions, also on ebay, was selling the fascia kits. When I priced them they were $500-600.

Can confirm that with MY VX, I wired the extreme electronics unit up the same as Brains instructions and all operating correctly.

Just finished installing mine too, thanks to your excellent instructions Paul everything works as it should. I just need to work out how to get OziExplorer to work on it. I've copied all the files to the SD card but not sure where to go from there.

If you search for long enough you can find ANYTHING Prado related on this site Found all I had to do was go into the options menu and change where it looks for the Nav software. All is working now, thanks everyone who has contributed to this thread, you've all been a help.

Mine has a 7 inch touch screen that replaces the small factory screen and DVD player that replaces the factory CD player, so it fills both slots. Mine is the same as the unit installed by Brains and sbclover.

Hey sbclover, did you get the DVD head rests from the same guy as the main stereo? I ordered a couple but still waiting for them to arrive, was wondering what you thought of them. Also, whereabouts are you located? Might be able to steer me towards some tracks

The headrests work well, I wasn't very happy with the mounting so I made up some spacer/adapters to suit the prado seat as the original locks in the seat couldn't take the weight of the new headrests and sat at the lowest adjustment.
I am in Clermont so if you need some help I can turn some up on the lathe.

Hi Guys, I am installinging an Extinx GPS/DVD into my GXL and was wondering whether you have to lengthen the cable for the hazard light switch when you installed the screen as the hazard switch goes from the RH side of the small OEM screen to the LH side of the Extinx screen? Regards, Pat
