  • Just installed today into 2012 GXL Hazard Switch/Reverse Sensor Display that a mate got me in China. It fits perfectly. I'm trying to translate the contact details on the business card of Toyota Parts Dealer. It cost about $230 by the time I got it delivered

                    Renno,

                    Looks excellent, I am keen to purchase one immediately, is your friend still there (could possibly source for us) or do you have an email address we could send to (or reply to your email). I'm pretty sure they speak and read a fair bit of English.

                    If anyone else is keen to purchase one of these LHD Hazard/Parking sensor display switches PM me as we will try and purchase multiple.

                      • I have had no luck getting another part #83160-60020 from China, however I have been able to find a dealer in UAE to supply part. I go to UAE for work about every 2nd month where I could collect them. Based on current exchange rates I could get them in UAE and express post them for about $240 AUD. Let me know if anyone is interested and I can give you an indication of when I'll be there next.

                        • Hello, For all of you who have installed the two piece Radio/DVD/GPS unit from China (LCD screen on top and receiver in the bottom), I would be interested in purchasing the original factory lower unit radio from one of you guys. Anyone interested in selling it? This is the radio/receiver I am interested in;

                          • Hi all,

                            When the radio is replaced on the GXL, what happens to the control and display that it replaces?

                            What is even shown on the display? Sorry for the Q, but not sure whether to get a VX or GXL and this is something I'm trying to investigate.

                              Installing Replacement head Unit Toyota Prado 150 GXL - C8013TP Large

                              I have finally sat down and compiled some photos I took during my install of this unit.

                              I hold no responsibility in any actions or work you perform or have performed on your vehicle. This is a description of the work I performed on my 2009 GXL Prado installing the above-mentioned unit.

                              1. Factory Dash showing the upper and lower units that will be replaced by the C8013TP Large (GXL). Photos below description.

                              2. Pull out Climate control section from dash and disconnect plug in rear.

                              3. Pull out panel with centre diff lock, DAC and 4WD selector and disconnect plugs in rear.

                              4. Remove two (2) bolts from upper section and four (4) bolts from lower section. Pull units out and unplug the connectors attached to the upper unit and the lower unit.

                              • Grab it with both hands gripping very tight and pull out of dash. It is only held with clips. You don't need to use any trim removers it can be pulled out with a bit of muscle.
