I find the current conversation to be of no value to PP readers. I maybe wrong but the current debate is off topic or at a level that is beyond the general readers understanding. For my mind the question would be better asked either over the phone or through a personal email. That way there would be no IP problems and information could be passed freely.

I normally enjoy both members posted but this one could end with PP as the loser should one or both cop a band. I for one don't want it to come to that. For the good of PP boys lets move on.

Hey skywalker, I supported your earlier questions but the cute little smiles are a bit lame. If your having a go at least be straight about it.

    Hello Chipit

I would love to agree with you on this one but you never answered my questions based solely on your quotes.

I never bagged or slandered you but you don't seem to hold back on flaming me or others down. (Double standards).

I do believe this is an open forum for all to exchange opinions where you should take advantage of the moment to clarify but you get all offensive when the reply questions to your quotes are too prickly.

I do have knowledge (believe it or not.. 31yrs out of 47) but you always seem to mince and twist words and de-rail the questions and then in all the mayhem that you self create they never get answered.

You are good at promoting your self and at bagging other brands to promote yours.... very un-profesh!

Why don't you do all of your brand bagging and self pro-mo on your own web sight and let this forum to continue to educate its PP's for which this forum was established and not solely for you!

there is allot of factual knowledge exchanged on this forum by other qualified mechanics/technicians like my self and they share there knowledge and experiences on here with other PP's so they can make honest judgements on brands with there good and bad points for them selves armed on the basis of what they learn.

You seem to be able to explain your self but when other PP's try to explain them selves they are classified as flaming or bagging when you are asked honest questions

Is this a open forum for PP's or you?.... Why expose yourself if you can not answer the questions..... You can say what the hell you want on your own web sight without having to explain your self

I suppose this is where i get banned now for also explaining my self and i am a PP member who is not promoting/selling anything but also sharing knowledge.

    Cheers

I do welcome questions Jim but when people flame they lose me straight away. By now, PP members know that I don't shy away from HONEST discussion. If people have too much negative experience with a company the internet, and forums such as this one, quickly become the bane of their lives as it reflects not only if the product is any good but also how good the after sales service is.

It quickly sorts out the men from the boys so to speak.

If people wish to know how we do what we do, apart from general info, I am sorry, I am not going to discuss our IP on a public forum. I hope most members would understand that.

In any case, we are here to help. And in doing that we obviously want to show people why our chips are better and point out that its not going to cost them more than the other major players on the Australian market that, when people do their own research, see that our products offer great value for money.

BESIDES THAT ... WE OFFER A BLOODY FORUM DISCOUNT LOL

This thread is too good to strangle, piggy. Maybe Chip-it should start a new thread as he is after all trying to sell his product on PP and doing a great job, so should welcome questions on his chip. Got me interested.

    Cheers, Jim.

have you not been reading what the other poster wrote about his EGTs lowering?

With every post you just seem to flame us.

    Gday chipit

Chipit quote: the standard exhaust together with other brand chips causes high EGTs

Answer: Any chip that adds extra fuel automatically will always add more heat. Even yours! All's the EGT probe will do is shut the chip down when the Exhaust gases inevitability elevate too high. (Other chips use other methods also).

EG: if you add more fuel it adds more power/more heat and needs more oxygen in-order to sustain the perfect fuel/air ratio so you increase turbo boost to get more air per square inch to level out the fuel/air ratio but you still have more heat?

More fuel = more air = more heat?.... How do you get all the above without more heat keeping and the correct fuel air ratio's? (on diesels you lean it off and loose power but the engine cools).

EG: exaggerated example: If i was to pour 1ltr of fuel on the floor and light it there would be a big flame followed by a gush of heat..... Now if i pour 2ltr of fuel on the floor and light it there would be a much bigger flame with more intense heat.... This due to the "extra" fuel?

Also? here is my example on the bigger exhaust theory as you can not have one without loosing the other... can not change the cats on the 150 series due to euro emission laws
    http://www.pradopoint.com/showthread...l=1#post334431

Quote: As a matter of interest to you for your car, a customer has just 100% blanked off his EGR (Exhaust Gas Re-circulation) on his 1KZ-TE and it didn't bring up any codes

Answer: The 1KZ's have never had a problem with blocking the EGR and is easy to do based on the fact that the 1KZ does not have a variable turbo which relies on the EGR to dump its boost (Insane act to block off on the 1KD) but an external waste gate that is totally independent of the EGR so no error codes will accure when it is blocked off but if you was to try this on the 1KD's all hell will break loose due to trapped turbo boost that would have to back track back across the inter-cooler/turbo compressor which in turn would cause it to stall and then be pushed back across the MAF through the air box then the turbo boost sensor would see all this and throw an error code and automatically drop fuel rail pressure based on its received signals.

Even though it looks like i am attacking you again! i am not but want to make sure that everyone who is not mechanically minded that they have a better understanding on what is going on inside there engine and with this knowledge they can make a better decision for them selves based on what they know rather than what they are told.

    Cheers

the standard exhaust together with other brand chips causes high EGTs. Other chip resellers will often tell you to do the exhaust as that is the way they try to lower EGTs. Like in all standard exhaust systems, its pretty restrictive.

We don't need advise people to get a larger exhaust for two reasons A) We have an EGT Controlled safety feature and B) Our Chip also adds more boost and adding more boost lowers EGTs. (as Barry pointed out)

As a matter of interest to you for your car, a customer has just 100% blanked off his EGR (Exhaust Gas Re-circulation) on his 1KZ-TE and it didn't bring up any codes. I asked him to take some pics of it and I'll post them up here as a reference. He said he felt a difference too.

I think it's just a case of trying to understand how you get more torque/power without increasing the heat factor. It would seem that most members are getting a decrease in the EGTs using your brand of chip and it's not a small decrease either. Around the 50 degree C which is quite a bit. I find this very interesting and in theory this would put less strain on those seats and the injectors while producing more power. That's quite amazing really when you think of how the basic principles work for the diesel engine in general.
What would be the affect if the customer kept the standard exhaust system and didn't install a high flow 3" system?

As a matter of interest Sean, why did you go for the Roo Chip?

I would bend over backwards to have gotten your business and our price was better too
