  • No need for a fight. As people know I will always tell it as it is.

The chips they sell is just another imported injector style chip. Power will be about 20 - 20% increase regardless. Take a look at their dyno graph for the Colorado. Hardly a good tune but that's my opinion. Then they just say 70% increase ... well there is no Standard run to compare with and also it is with 3" exhaust. Again, not comparing apples and apples there.

It is better than the SB Chip as it has boost control but injector style chips just CANNOT put in as much fuel as a Common Rail Chip. That's why Toyota Racing Developments went for Rial Chips.

Please remember guys, we too have/sell injector style chips ... so we know what is achievable with this style of chip

Also, with our EGT Control Chip you get a lot more bang for your buck WITH engine protection at the forum price of $1169.00 !!!

    • thanks robert for that post.

our modules do more then just injector voltage like our competitors but they also change timing, duration, pulse width voltage and a whole range of other things.

Standard Colorado makes 75-90rwkw depending on other mods (exhaust, snorkal, etc) with our colorados they go from standard up to 130-140.. we have a colorado on our dyno today, I'll upload it for all to see. we did a navara last night that made 150rwkw... ill be taking a dyno sheet of that and putting on the navara forums later today aswell.

With a prado we see from around 90-95rwkw standard up to about 120-125rwkw. The prados are limited by their clutch in the manual version and the autos start out with lower power figures but higher torque then a manual.

The best thing about our product is it comes with 4 different tunes which are changeable from inside of the car. The tunes are entirely different and are simply not subtracting or adding fuel (rail pressure chips i'm asuming are the same, with the exclusion of chip it as they also increase boost so possibly run different boost in different modes). Our different tunes run different timing @ different RPM different fuel and different boost across all of them so that when you're after an economy tune there isn't bulk loads of power costing you precious diesel but when you need power for towing you can change into a more aggressive tune that comes on a lot earlier and harder in the rev range.

one of our customers Steve had a rapid system which he removed and then had ours fitted, then his mate trevor came and got it fitted and followed by another guy with a 100 series. I'm going to ring steve and see if it's okay if I give his number out to people to call them to ask about his 120 prado. here is our facebook album with his car https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?...1894925&type=3

I'm gonna go onto our dyno now and print out his dyno sheet.

      Cheers,
      Adam

Take a look I don't know what dyno sheet you're referring too but this one is readily available online

        • I know that SBClover lives a couple hours west of Mackay

would be nice if he would let us do a comparison next time his in mackay, run it up with the chip it chip on there and then remove it and put ours on and run it up again and see the differences between the two

That being said anyone with a Rail Chip product and a prado in the mackay area keen to let us do a comparison? could be a heavily discounted product and a couple of cartons your way for doing so

          • Maybe this should be battled out in a another thread. This thread has been very informative, and it'd be a shame to see it closed for what is an interesting topic worthy of its own thread, if it can possibly remain civil...

            • I reckon it should stay right here

Aggressive marketing attracts aggressive competition and if one party wants to talk down another product then they should put all the facts on the table right here so the PP's can decide for them selves.

This is an open forum and an open thread so why not stay right here as it is just starting to get very informative!!!

              Cheers

              • i was just thinking about it going off topic from the original posters orginal post.
If two different product manufacturers want to go head to head to decide who has the better product, then maybe "my engine chipping experience so far" doesn't really capture that spirit. maybe a new topic with the title Chipit Vs Supercarperformance.

I'm all in favour of competition and i'm keen as mustard to see a side by side comparo.
Just a time and place is all. At the end of the day just my 2c worth.

                      • Surely the mod wouldn't shut the thread down because of a healthy debate that is about to get revealing???? .... That's exactly what forums are all about!..... FACTS!

Informative and civil debate with out the flaming or bagging of course

                            • DM would you be comfortable selling these imported modules over the counter or mail out? ie would you be comfortable for the standard user to hook up to the crank angle sensor or do you recommend fitting by dealers?

I understand the injection plugs are provided however are the connections to crank angle sensor plug and play or wire in?

Seen at time 1:16, the dyno I was referring to was this one http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature...cMNil-I1U#t=9s

                              • yes that one came into us with an aftermarket exhaust already. we didn't fit the exhaust and that's why the dyno sheet is like that. This was done quiet some time ago and we didn't get a chance to dyno it before hand, the percentage is based on average results we see out of standard cars. As we are also a local performance shop (petrol and diesel) some days we might have up to 7-8 cars that we need to get on the dyno so our mechanics can get really tied up with tuning of other cars and we don't always get time to run it up beforehand.

In regards to crank angle sensor, they are also plug and play but we don't connect to this sensor on every car.
