        Nah mate had a chev in my drag car. Wouldn't own a late model ford or holden , build quality is crap.
        The reason chip it is highlighted is because I had another brand of chip and it was crap,sent it back for my money.

              • Most of the setups I have seen on PP seem to have the hoses running uphill from the rocker cover. I have the provent copy about to be setup and I was worried that the oil and water would end up running back to the head and leaving the moisture in the head. I hadnt thought of this before I went to make up the bracket to get it low as possible but now I worried that on short trips around town etc that the rubbish would not have time to get up the hill and run back to the head etc Can anyone tell me why I shouldnt worry about it. None of the traps seem to be low enough to get the oil and condensation running downhill. Thanks

                • OK have finished my Chip Tuning Provent 200 catch can and I am having troubles. The hoses are all setup as per others here and are clamped and heatshrunk on and is low down as I could get it up behind the air cleaner. My trouble is, hoses are clear and hooked up correctly but I get a sound much like the old bedfords etc (knock knock dull sound) with the compressor for the brakes, and it echoes through the cab quite loudly. It also has the relief valve lid loose and dropped down when I take the top cap off the provent. Any one know what might be happening.

                      Hi,

                      I had a similar sound and found it was the lower pressure relief valve vibrating. I used a small cable tie to sit under the spring, effectively increasing the spring rate and holding the valve closed with increased pressure. This stopped the valve vibrating and now all is quiet again in the cabin.

                      • How much oil are people collecting from their Provent setups? I've had mine connected for 5,000k and haven't collected one drop! All that I've got is a fine mist of oil on the top surface of the filter. Starting to wonder if it was worth fitting. By the way my Prado has 95000 on the clock and I run a 5/30 full synthetic oil.

                        • I've got my drain plug running to another small container (easier to drain than removing whole can) and i probably got about 50mls of crappy black liquid out of it the first time i checked it & washed the filter, and about 20mls the other day when i changed the filter. I'm not really sure what the km intervals were as i just check it at random, but its been installed for about 20,000kms all up.
                          So between the foul liquid and the amount of oil & crap in the filter itself i'd say they do a good job.

                          • I'm very happy that I ordered the genuine Mann and Hummel Provent. I almost ordered the chip it, entirely by accident, as I was also under the impression, the chip it product was the manufactured by M+H, since the product name was exactly the SAME and the thread under which their availability was broadcasted by the supplier had the header "ProVent HP200 Oil Catch Cans". Nuff said.

                            • Had Robson's install a Provent 200. Here's some pics;

                              You'll see in pic 3 that the drain's been blocked off. Rather than rooting around underneath in the tight space, I was wondering if it would suffice for me to clear the muck out every now and then by taking off the lid and pulling out the filter and then sticking in a syringe (maybe with a bit of tubing on the end)? Or do I have no choice other than attach a tube and tap...

                              Cheers
