I'm on my second tank of the BP Ultimate. Economy isn't any better but it does pull slightly better and it smells different out the tailpipe. Haven't tasted it yet and I'm pretty sure I won't ;-)
I cart fuel for BP all around Victoria and a lot of the country servos are changing over to Ultimate diesel, not sure if it's their choice, or something that is just going to happen to all of them. I think they are converting about 2 servos a week on average. They installed new additive lines and associated dosing equipment at the terminal, so I assume it's going to become commonplace.
I've always put an additive in with my tank of normal diesel, maybe I won't have to anymore!

Most of the BPs over here (in WA) that sell Ultimate Diesel do not sell regular or the older style diesel. Just like Caltex - you can only buy Vortex diesel.Dave

I have a 2014 hilux and a prado both diesel both auto. Can't compare fuel consumption for obvious reasons. Only difference in the 2 Motors as far as I'm aware is the stepper motor on the prados turbo.. Hilux always run on caltex fuel as I have a supplied fuel card through work.. Have only ever run my prado on bp fuel and I can honestly say it runs heaps smoother and doesn't rattle half as much as the hilux. I'm a diesel fitter by trade for the last 10 years and I'm confident in what I just said.
