Question about oil filter wrench kit

i just bought a cheapy from supercheap. As you rotate it it clamps down, works great and just need socket and extension arm which i already had. Cost me about $12.

That style is good, I have the "snap on" version in my workshop.
They do most vehicles, I've never purchased another oil filter tool, been going about 20 years now.
Can't beat it.
The straps are good, but won't fit everything.

Is it possible that Toyota have changed the size of the YZZD2 filter. I purchased this from ebay http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/152045604...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT but it does not fit so going through ebay dispute. It is 76mm and the filter I have on the car from new is around 73mm.
Sydney toyota told me the tool they supply is 75mm so that will not fit either. All confusing as hell.

I got a plastic tool box full of Kingchrome filter adapters. The Tojo one is marked for easy reference.

Tool part number 0922807501 is marked as 75mm and fits genuine filters marked 90915YZZD2

My local Toyota dealer keeps this tool in stock, it is the second most popular selling SST (special service tool)

Got mine from Amayama (part #09228 07501) for $40.70 (plus shipping).

Not too bad if your buying other parts to save on shipping.

Yes geniune filter. This is what I sent seller. Not sure why Toyota mark the tool 75mm but the one I purchased was marked 76mm.

I use one of the metal band types but if the band starts to slip due to the filter being too tight, then I just use a dirty great big pair of multigrips, there is enough room to move the filter about a quarter turn a couple of times then it just spins off. Might look at investing in a proper one.
