  • Highest kilometers D4D thread

-What is your current distance in the ODO?
-What drivetrain mods have you done? (Engine, transmission, diffs, catch can etc)
-What "major" work have you done on the drivetrain due to failure or problems? (Cleaning intake, EGR, injectors, replacing things like turbo etc)
    -Maintenance intervals? (Fluids, filters, etc)
-How is the car used? (Keep it short)

I think this will be a nice thread to keep track of common problems (At least keep track of issues from forum members) for the Prado 150 D4D engine and drivetrain.

Ill start with mine even though its still brand new. (It will take a long time to rack up the ODO since i dont drive much and i live in a small country)

    -Current ODO 1625kms
    -All stock, no mods
-Nothing has broken yet and i hope it stays that way
-Oil changes every 5K kms with Fram Ultra filter and Mobil Delvac Super 1300 (First oil change was done at dealer, planning to do the next ones by myself)
All other fluids, filters and major servicing will be done exactly as the manual states. Everything else that is not in the manual maintenance schedule will be serviced as time goes by and i research a bit more (First real 4X4 vehicle so i dont have that much experience)
-Car is mainly used in the city, mostly stop and go traffic.

I have heard from a Toyota service manager and he has seen several 150's with around 500,00k's and some 120's with close to 800,00k's

Should we redo the thread title for something more appropriate?
So we can gather some information on common issues, mods and how the car was used.

Haha. 186km/h 'indicated' is when the speed limiter kicks in. Before everyone jumps up and down, it was back when the NT had unlimited speed zones..

Back on topic, 240,000kms and still going strong.
