D4D 150 Series Oil Consumption

There may already be a thread on this but what is normal as far as oil consumption for these motors? I have a Dec 14 GXL and I checked the oil level this morning and it its down the low end of the 'normal range'. Its just clicked over 5000km and due for a service in June.

To be honest, i've never checked the oil level since i bought it.
Only checked it a couple times before and after the first oil change. Havent checked since then but the car has around 2600KMs on it currently.

220,000k's and doesn't use any oil between changes at all

Went passed a Toyota dealer in the city. They checked it and added 0.5L of oil. I contacted the dealer that I bought it from, they reckon its not uncommon for the level to drop a little before the first main service (which is my case). They will check it out when I bring it in for this in a month or so.
