Fuel Tank Problem

Hi, I am having an issue that is well documented here but very few final Fixes have been posted, My 150 takes ages to fill and will only take 90lt max, when the fuel gauge reaches halfway the orange low fuel warning light flashes. I am lead to believe it is a main tank fuel Venturi. But nobody mentions how to repair it. Only thing i could find doing a search was a guy with a burnt wire. All help would be Great. I have checked all the pipes are in the correct place but have not removed the tank. I will only do this if i am certain to have a FIX.

When was the filter between the fuel tanks last changed? If it is blocked fuel wont transfer from aux to main tank.

Filter is Clear, Checked it First, Its actually dry.

From memory is similar to 120, have you checked the flap?

Flap ? by the filler cap, that is fine.

There is a flap in the inlet tube to one of the tanks that directs fuel
into one of the tanks to ensure it fills first, if the flap is stuck the fuel
will flow into the other tank first which prevents the second tank filling.

i can fill both tanks very slowly but only the front one drains.

Start by checking for blown fuses.

Checked in the front box, Fuel pump fuse is fine. Dont know if there are any other fuses i should be checking.

Buy a tech stream cable (ebay is cheap) and do a diagnostic check on the transfer pump. The cheap ones will do the check for you.

Does sound like the transfer pump isn't working especially when you say the filter between the tanks is dry

Don't laugh too hard at this, I once found a playing card in the fuel tank of a quite new Isuzu truck, it would suck up to the fuel pick up tube and starve the engine of fuel........

I haven't checked by I imagine there would also be a fule pump relay, if so then swap it out and see if that makes a difference. If no success then sounds like you need to check the pump and plumbing.

Tried the Diagnostic software but cant seem to find any thing that refers to Transfer Pump on tech stream. Will check the relay later
