Hey Guys
Been browsing on the Prado forums for a bit, went from a Holden > Ford > Subaru > Landrover and now to the Prado and lets me say so much happier
. I started doing all my own servicing and work on the car and the forums have been a life saver, so thanks to all, trying to make it an hobby I have this issue which I'm hoping to shed some light on which a few mechanics haven't been able to diagnose.
I have a Prado 150 2010 KDJ150 Diesel Manual, No Mods.
The issue is, After a day of driving and come to stop I always wait a few minutes then turn the car off, When the car turns off after a few seconds I hear an extremely loud tick/knock, it only happens 2 - 3 times in a period of 10 minutes then goes away. I have attached a picture of where I hear it the loudest
Some days it so so loud I can hear it at the other end of the house, I noticed a friend of mine has the next model up, same engine and does not make this knock.
If anyone has an opinion or information please post
