  • Manual DPF burn switch

I was reading a post about DPF regen’s here the other day but for the life of me I can’t find it now. The crux of the comment was that post was that post June build Prado will come with a manual DPF burn switch. I just want to know whether that’s a physical button in the dash or whether it’s a default function with in the ecu or where ever that the OBD scan gauge can detect and trigger?

Cool thanks faulco. I wonder if they have some kind of timer on it to stop you hitting th3 after burner too often, but then again tnat May defeat the purpose

I’ve sent TMCA an email requesting information about this...

3 weeks now... still no reply!

Get online and apply some pressure to get a button fitted under a recall or warranty (clear there is problematic history wi5h the DPF)

its a new button on the dash , ive just seen it on the Japanese market models. I would say you only press it if the DPF full light comes on , and the auto burns have not worked.

                Hooray and nice work.

Can you find out if it is retrofit-able to earlier 2018 Prados? or any other 150s. Save me entering the code into my Scangauge when required.

Mines going in for its 10K service shortly so I'll ask around also.

As per the spec sheet above All new models will hAve the burn button. I’m not sure how technically demanding the odb tool would be on the average joe... a bit of knowledge can be dangerous..... it might the start of a new niche engine management recoding industry
