Hi all
im running a 3.0 d4d 1kd-ftv 2012 auto. I recently replaced the turbo as i was blowing blue smoke heavily. Found turbo seals all stuffed. 8 months down the track on the new turbo, i’ve noticed oil usage between 10000km services, about 2 litres req every 2-3months. Now , i have no signs of oil leaks anywhere, no smoke at all, no oil in air filter, i run a ryco catch can, no oil in that either. I’m stumped as to where it’s going. 135000km only on engine.
Not sure what egr temps should be but mine at 100km cruising is around 350-375 deg, put your foot down to pass or merge and it can reach 480-500 deg??is that normal range? i run boost /egr /water temp and oil pressure gauges on pillar.
Also noticed the transmission starts playing up when sand driving for more than 30-40 mins , only has happened since i had the auto box fully re built. They have run the oil lines straight through the new external cooler and bypassed the radiator all together. it feels like the trans gets to hot and then it starts getting stuck in 2 , only when on the soft stuff not with normal driving.
