    Hi all,

Can anyone recommend a workshop in Sydney to do a engine and transmission tune?
Also, if you have had a tune done, When did you get it done? Ideally im after a long term positive or negative review.
Did anything mechanical fail? gearbox, turbo, dpf, injector, ect
Did it get tuned to its limit where engine light/limp modes happen regularly?
Would a exhaust or airbox be beneficial with the tune?
Most opinions are shortly after and loving it.

    Thanks!

I have a lockup kit and ECU tune. Had it for last 50000km. No issues. I've fit an exhaust, it does make a difference, turbo spools quicker ie more responsive engine. Only need the DPF and muffler section replaced. Rear section didn't make any difference (I fitted mine in stages and regret replacing the rear section as it rubs on the heat shield occasionally. No issues with the car, main benefit is for when I tow. The torque increase means I can maintain speed and overtake if needed. Towing economy is better due to gearbox lockup more often. Normal driving economy is unchanged.

      Gxl_d4d,

Firstly, thanks for being the first and only one thats responded hahaha

Secondly, Appreciate the real world information! Besides the exhaust rubbing it all sounds positive.
Where did you get the tune done?

Had a DPChip-x installed previously, really good power gains.

I decided to take it off as on steep hills and full throttle the EGT’s were reaching 650°c momentarily. There seems to be a mix of opinions as fo what is considered “safe” but I didnt want to risk it.

A 3” exhaust will rub at the rear cross over section mostly when the car is on an angle, I currently have a Redback system and have no other issues.

Mike-B, exhaust temps seems a bit much to me aswell so fair enough for taking it off.

Just Autos seems to have a good wrap and TJM Penrith just became a affiliate for them for tuning and other stuff. Il have a chat to them and see what they come up with for price, power, temps, if multimap is a option, transmission tuning.

Hey mate, if you're happy to travel to the Central Coast I'd highly recommend https://ecpt.com.au/ as these guys know their fourbies. I've also had an old NP Pajero done at Tune Works Raymond Terrace and they did a great job although their customer service is a bit poor.
