Ive noticed with my car of late when I go to accelerate from a standstill say pulling out of my car park at work I go to accelerate lightly to take off and there is a flat spot then the car lurches' off its like there is a dead spot on initial acceleration? anyone had this?

Yeah mate Auto....Originally posted by CookieSA View PostMine does the same Kakadaz, I assume yours is auto also. It seems to happen more often if I sit at the lights at put it into neutral and then when I return to drive to take off there is the delay from when I accelerate. I have not had it checked out todate but you are not alone.

Mine is the same from a standing start (auto), but not much delay at all. On a country road with a few revs up, there is no delay.Originally posted by KAKADAZ View PostYou are a clown too lol....Its a V6

Then again, it's not like the old Ford and Holden V8's, where just a touch of the right foot tried to push you into the back seat.

It only seems to be from a stop and when using part throttle eg:car parks etc. normal driving off from traffic lights etc where more throttle is involved its OK.2010 Kakadu with all the usual stuff.... Build up thread below

Interesting little gadget. The problem I do have feels like a drive by wire delay.Originally posted by KIMBOPRADO View PostKakadaz

I have heard of a similar problem on the 150 series V6, apparently it's worse if you accelerate from a standing start, then back off slightly and try to accelerate again. Didn't Toyota have a solution that involved something like a flash of the ECU?"Sure it’s quiet, for a diesel, but that’s like being well-behaved… for a murderer."- Jeremy Clarkson

I would say a ECU flash should sort it out I will get that done hopefully next service. My air filter is rather dirty as well so getting that changed may also help a bit.Originally posted by Peterpilot View PostI have heard of a similar problem on the 150 series V6, apparently it's worse if you accelerate from a standing start, then back off slightly and try to accelerate again.
