        First Fuel Figures

Yep, in short, nothing like the claimed figures from Toyota!

I average between 14 and 15.5l/100km around town and 12-13 on the highway. Towing our offroad camper I get between 14-16 on the open road.

I only have BFG AT's and cross rails on the roof that would effect fuel consumption.

I absolutely love this car but the fuel thirst is disappointing considering the published figure is 11.5!

        Cheers, Sam.

Thanks, Sam. the 275 series tyres alone i reckon would add close to a litre not to mention they are light truck, so i reckon u r doing alright, especially when u r towing!

              Re: First Fuel Figures

              Hi guys,

Had the new 150 gxl for 2 weeks now, driving to work on the freeway only and getting what the comp claims to be 14.6 I did however get to 910 before the fuel light came on with 65 remaining. I had to fill up as it was mid week and fuel is a lot cheaper.

Overall I am not to disappointed at this I had a Ford Escape before this and traded up. The v6 Escape had a 12.9 / 100km by Ford and geez did it use it. After 6 years it was pulling 15/100 km every time. So coming from that I am not too unhappy. This weekend we are going out of town so hopefully I get to see some better numbers. Love the car though, awesome drive.

25000km on the clock with the the 4.0l
Those does include about 200km on sand desert driving, about another of 200km of sand tracks
The rest is on Dubai roads
                the average is at 13.4l.

I have 18'' AT22. I hate it. As soon as dead... AT2 will be on...
