Has anyone tried to buy a new 150 lately ? I've been looking for a GXL D4D to replace one that was written off only 2 months old . Insurance company couldn't source one so I made some enquiries and managed to locate one through my local dealer . It seems that the dealers don't want to sell at a discount price to the insurance companies when they can get full price from someone off the street .
All the dealers are co compomplaining of no stock due to the Japanese problems recently giving delivery dates of September .

I think you'll find most people who have wanted to buy one, have just ordered them, and are waiting it out.

I have nothing to offer you in terms of consolation unfortunately. I believe the 150 is just too popular. I tried to get last years model and was quoted the current price. Enough said!!!!

Prado3

Yes guys believe it or not , the next one will be Prado3 . Thanks for your concerns but it was written off in my driveway by my neighbour across the road chucking a wobbly while reversing . We were really lucky that the car was in the driveway or he would've gone right through the house . He hit the Prado so hard that it was pushed sideways which ripped the rear tyres off the rims .
The new one's not far away , I'm lucky as there's bugger all stock at the moment but my local dealer was able to wangle one for me from the next shipment .

Hi all

Orderd a new GXL april 21st. Latest up date was may be end of july build. So if I'm real lucky it could be a september delivery. But that wil be ok, Top end trip will be june 2012.

Hi Ross,
Sorry to hear of your rotten luck. Since I see you are in Sydney, you didn't happen to grab the spare off your GXL before you lost sight of it? Alternatively, do you happen to know if it ended up at a wreckers? I have been looking for a second spare wheel for outback trips, a genuine Toyota rim would keep up appearances.

Ordered end of May, told this week Mid July build Mid to late August delivery.
