I put my Prado 150 Diesel in for its 40,000km service at my local dealership. I just received a call asking if I am happy if I can leave them the car overnight so they can do a cold start to hear / inspect the tappets? This apparently is part of the sercice schedule, which I thought is weird being that nearly every Prado out there is a Diesel and it wasn’t mentioned at the time of booking the car in. They advised me that the 40K service is big service (5hrs +), and they need the car to be stone cold to do this particular inspection.
Has anyone else been told this before? Or are they just wanting more time to complete a regular service?
Cheers
