Why didn't Toyota just call this the Kakadon't?

Hi there, first time poster.

Question regarding price as these car dealers are slippery and throw figures around like confetti...

We have a 2004 Grande, Petrol with 150,000kms on it.
Have been looking at the Altitudes.
Have been quotes a changeover price of $48,352.

In my mind this equates to $48,352 + $24,000 = $72,352

Is that a decent price or should I push back a bit.

I just signed up for the Altitude. Pick it up tomorrow. I traded in my Triton.
Just have them list the price of prado seperatly.

They originally quoted me $73900 for Prado but came down to $68,500. Then do the trade figure after so you know exactly what you are paying.

Looked at this car last week and took one for a long drive in the Adelaide hills, the bodyroll was abit of a worry for the mrs.
Priced at $68,500 drive away, anyone got a better deal.

I'm looking at a VX to compare the body roll but I don't think it's worth 10k for just kdss and no moonroof.

Anything stoping this car from having KDSS fitted at a later date? I mean people are fitting it to a tundra in the states which never come out with it in any model. Is it just a case of nobody has done it or some other reason?

Hi Bob, I was getting similar quotes mate, they were obviously hoping to make it up on my trade, which I ended up selling privately this week. I ended up paying $68495 and got a towbar, carpet mats, roof rails, a full tank of juice and a $200 David Jones voucher (for the missus) included. I tried Gilberts at Mt Barker and ended up at CMI Christies Beach.....
