How long do you have to wait!

CHEERS Muffla fleet guy advised he has one on order for 26/3 delivery 3 others arriving same time apparently none of them have orders on them, we will wait and see i was expecting 3 months at least, need to get into action to sell the F6

what is that comment around honest car salesman.........................................w e will see on the 26/3....................

they have 1 gxl and 2 of the allitude on the floor as of today. silver, black and blue metal?

Finally got some sense out of dealer today. After 7 phone calls over the past month I now understand what they mean by April Build...The car will be built in April for May delivery..

Now for the good part...they won't guarantee me an April Build until the 20th of March? and then it gets better...they won't tell me how long I then wait if I happen to miss out on an April build.

What I can't understand is how differently we all get treated. I wonder how much longer I'd be waiting if I hadn't made 7 calls to Toyota myself??? At the same time there are some of us receiving cars within 2 months of order?

Not a happy camper :-( Thank christ I have this site to keep me amused for the next 3 months lol!

Your right there Hutch, they have been great up until the last couple of weeks. The lack of communication has been the only real killer. I simply can't believe how many times Ive had to contact them myself to get this info. When I finally got a hold of the Stock Controller today, she couldn't believe that I hadn't been informed of any of this information yet. Had the car been ordered 3.5 weeks ago when I paid the deposit I would have received the car in March-April....Doh!

I received some pretty good news today, my car will now be shipped on the 29th of March instead of being built in April!

Thanks to another customer that cancelled an order on a V6, my dealer was able to swap that car with a Diesel from another dealer and get me on the next ship over. Woohoo!!!

Hopefully theres someone on here that might be able to get their V6 earlier now too. ;-)

Pete's Pending Perth Prado

Hi all, thought I might as well wade into this debate to make some of you feel better.
Ordered the new Prado in September with a written guarantee for a November delivery and didn't even hear from the dealer until I put a rocket up them at the end of November when they promissed to pull out all the stops for a Jan delivery (like they weren't already on the case?).

Jan - no car, no appology - their best guess (guess!) Feb build
Feb - no car, no contact from dealer
Mar - who knows, I'm over it

I'm so annoyed I'm not even excited any more - I'm a great fan of the Prado but this is taking the edge off.
Sorry, rant over, but if anyone wants a recommendation of which dealer in Perth not to deal with send me a PM.

That is so crap, it seems the main delays are caused by terrible service from the dealer perspective.

The reason they do this is because they can...Ive been in business for 20 years and can't say Ive met anybody that would be hanging around if I dicked them around as much as car dealerships. Trouble is, if we didn't give them a deposit they wouldn't do anything so your screwed both ways.

I have to agree, if I left my customers waiting for 4 months for an order with no contact, I wouldn't have any customers left! All contact I have had with my dealer has all been initiated by me. Not once have they called me with any information, everything I know I have had to ask for. What makes it worse is the lease on my current vehicle is up on Friday, thankfully work had a restructure and there is some spare cars about or I would have really been left in the lurch. At the moment the Toyota tracking has my delivery at the 19th March - let's hope it doesn't take any longer, "oh what a feeling" ... what feeling??

On the upside I ordered all my ARB stuff on the weekend, so that's made the last few weeks wait a bit easier...

Good news,

My dealer has given me a date that my car will arrive at the dealership.

If all goes to plan I will be cruising around in my new 150 on the 27th of April! Woooohoo!!!

So thats roughly 3 months from laying down the deposit so things are speeding up it seems.

i too ordered a silver gxl d4d got told november delevery then december then february all dates have come and gone am now being told 30th March but dealer has confirmed car was built 23/01/2012 and is in transit from 16/02/2012 and should arrive freo on the 12/03/2012 so may get it soon but not holding my breath
