My dealer actually rang me! The car is here???? Ahhhh, no. "The February build didn't happen, but you're definitely in for the April build, late May delivery". Evidently the reason for the current hold up is that I have chosen the Sandstone colour which is "non-standard". Silly me for thinking that any colour on the brochure was standard.

So, I'm going for the record! It's 6 months since signing the contract. End of May will be 9 months (and its anyone's guess if that will happen). So what do I have to beat? Anyone out there done better than this?

Meanwhile the old Prado is rusting out from the top down - anybody for a convertible Prado?

Anybody looking for a Crystal Pearl/Black Interior Altitude in V6 or D4D, give Sunshine Toyota at Currimundi a call, they have both in stock plus a VX V6 in Crystal Pearl with Beige Interior.

I noticed a White GXL there also but not sure if its sold or not. Might be worth giving this dealer a call if your interested. They offered me the best interest rate I have seen on this forum too which is a bonus.

i too ordered a silver gxl d4d got told november delevery then december then february all dates have come and gone am now being told 30th March but dealer has confirmed car was built 23/01/2012 and is in transit from 16/02/2012 and should arrive freo on the 12/03/2012 so may get it soon but not holding my breath

I ordered my GXL D4D on dec 9, the dealer told me they were due to get it March 9 and to me around March 15. The webtracking last wednesday told me it was on the docks, today it says it is at the dealer! Hopefully I will get it next week, which will be around 3 months from order.

Well I signed for a car that was meant to be in the dealership, then got told the next day sorry that car was sold. So now I am waiting for the end of the month. I asked the dealer I'd I can webtrack the car and was told sorry the car is already on the boat so it can't be webtracked. Now I just got to pray and hope it arrives....

Can you pm with which dealer you went through, after reading some posts here I was going to ask my dealer if I can webtrack, but may get told the same thing some how.

Well after waiting 4 month I got the call from the dealer, my prado 2012 has arrived and hopefully picking it up on friday

Finally picked up my GXL yesterday! In total just over a 4 month wait, it ended up getting delivered about two weeks earlier than I expected.

Was good to have it in the downpour of rain we had in the evening - I got to go drive through some nice puddles
