Yeah Dejo, I would give Toyota HQ a call and just explain the situation.
Hopefully they will be able to help you out.
Cheers,
Jeff
Agreed, I have had my tracking number and password for months. That dealer obviously doesn't know what he is doing.
Cheers
Alan

Thanks Guys. Well as expected nothing came out of it. I spoke to toyota directly and they got a hold of the stock controller at the dealer and told me to use the same code I was given as username and password. Well it didn't work then the the guy who we actually bought the car off call me and said there was no way he could get me a password. Go figure....seems Toyota and the dealer don't know their own process. On a positive note the stock controller said the Kakadu is on the boat and due around mid Feb....I think i'll believe it when i see it.
You spend $85-$90k with them and they cant even do their job to help you out!!
I don't know what it is with Toyota dealers, but after reading some of the stories on this Forum, they seem like a bit of a shonky run team...
This is my first buying experience with Toyota, and I can say I'm far from impressed. No communication from the dealer. I had to do all the chasing and make all the phone calls.
Well I just checked the Order Tracking and it now says the my VX is in transit to Australia...
I also now have a VIN, Engine Number and a Feb 2012 Compliance Plate.
Depending on where your located Dejo, It might be on the same vessel as your Kakadu!
Mine was going to be here by the end of 2011.
Then it was "sorry, there's been delays, Feb 15th is your new delivery date".
Then it was "surprise, it's ahead of schedule, you'll be able to pick it up on Jan 30th"
Now it's "we don't know where it is, it shouldn't be far away"
Not real impressed so far.
Dave.

Glad to see I'm not the only one getting screwed around by their dealer on delivery dates! I keep getting "we'll let you know as soon as we know".. I ordered on 10th November, with a promised February delivery! Closest thing to a date I have now is "late March, early April at the latest". Waiting on a GXL D4D Manual in White, biggest annoyance is I bought it as my work vehicle and the lease is up on my company supplied vehicle on March 2. At this rate I'm going to have wait until I go on holidays to spec is up.
Also my first dealings with Toyota, when I've bought cars from other manufacturers there has been much better communication.
White auto GXL D4D ordered on 18 September. Tracking system said '11 Feb delivery'. Updated today to '8 Feb delivery'.
Dealer's stock controller rang me today to say my Prado will be here 'next week or two'.
Communication seems reasonable given that the factory is probably focussing on catching up on back orders.

Ordered a white gxl d4d 2 weeks ago, dealer is saying early April. I don't have a tracking number yet, so I guess I'll have to wait and see if that rough delivery date is accurate.

A ggod question to ask is the name of the ship it is on. The dealer can tell you this after it is built. Once they have declared the ship you can get the berthing date from the port web site. I know dealers are very honourable people who wouldn't let anyone jump the queue but I seek constant reassurance that my car remains mine. I didn't get a VIN number until after ship arrival...I bet they knew it though. Once it is in, insist on the VIN and keep an eye on the dealers yard, one man's new car is another dealers DEMO model for a week.

I hope so Jeffers! i agree on your comments regarding Toyota and its support. Experience thus far has been poor, and it makes me regret my decision somewhat to go the kakadu over the Disco 4 HSE. The main reason i went Toyota is for the fact it's a Toyota and supposed to be bullet proof, great service etc.....i am not so sure now reading everyones complaints and concerns here. Hopefully i don't get screwed around much more and it is delievered in a few weeks as they promised. I'll see how we go with warranty support and so on over the coming years, if not up to scratch this will be my last Toyota.
So I finally got an email last night stating that my Prado has arrived at the dealers and that the salesman was waiting for information from predelivery so he could give me a firm pickup date. I got another email today stating my pickup date is 21st of Feb. Seriously?? 3 weeks to fit a bullbar, snorkel, towbar and tint the windows?? They originally told me about a week from arrival. They'll be getting a phone call in the morning. Not happy.

Had a call from my dealer today that my GXL auto diesel ordered on Dec 8 will arrive at the docks in Melbourne on Feb 27 and that I should get it within 10 days of that. Can't wait! Now I have to make all the final decisions on the upgrades, suspension, bar work, drawers etc, etc etc!

I got the same 'bull bar 3 - 4 weeks crap". I ordered my car in December and then they sorted a local 2012 for me. My accessory list has been active for over a month, so they are looking into it for me....

Get on to them Dave.
Again, this is poor form from Toyota. It should take no more than a few days to fit those parts.
3 weeks, What a joke!!
