    I use Jol's tread length method to help determine pressure compensation for different weights front & rear.

      Here's another one for you. Fatter tyres will need to be slightly softer than skinnies. About 3psi per inch in width is usually in the ballpark. And you folks with stiffer suspension may need to compensate more with softer tyres on rough roads - this'll prevent tyre damage, aid control, save your back and reduce the risk of front guard panel-work cracks.

        Running the factory tyres, I run 40psi on road, and thru trial and error on Stockton Beach have found that while 20psi is OK on the sand, if it gets real soft 16-18 will get you through almost anything.
