I've also been looking at these on Ebay,

Whilst I have the Ipads I'm not a fan of the leads hanging around the back of the seat and you can also load up a SD card of USB stick with all your data.

Hi All
Thanks for the great feedback.
I love the iPad but just don't like the look of the lead dangling etc.
And can't be bothered to download stuff etc.
Still prefer the headrest unit. Semi permanent and clean.
Now is whether to D-I-Y or get an installer.
If DIY, would be using the Cig lighter jack.
If an installer, he would be possibly connecting it direct to fuselink (?), which is neater - but extra $200+ of installation charges.

gday, bought headrests off ebay 2 yrs ago, get used all the time on longer trips, load usb full of movies, games disc inc, kids love it. it also came with 2 wireless headphones (good quality ones too) and we don't have to listen to the kids stuff. ran power from dual batt so when have to stop car for any reason they don't lose vision, etc. the kids still have tablets for other times, but we are very happy and have no regrets with purchase. they even look like the originals if you don't look too hard

Well, I decided to go the iPad option as all of our friends who have installed DVD headrests / roof mounts have only lasted a reasonably short time. We don't need to run cords for a few hours so it does not look that messy. But then again, the cords are only small and don't get in the way anyway.
Here are a few pics.
