Burn DVDs for the player

Has anyone managed to burn a DVD that will play in the standard DVD player?

If so what software and did you use any particular settings? I can get it to show the menu but it won't play the movie.

DVD shrink is a very good freeware application that can remove menus etc or simply copy entire disc to a writeable DVD.

You can also try AnyDVD.

My blue ray came with its own disc backup software.

I have been using DVD Shrink for many years & it's quite rare that it will not copy a DVD.

However, not all DVD players will play copies.

Don't forget to tick the region free box on Shrink.
For stubborn DVDs that has Shrink stumped I use DVD Fab 5.

I worked it out. Just don't use a menu and it will play fine. I used the software that comes with Windows.
