      • Thanks. Don't suppose it can be easily moved?

        • That's one way of stopping people mounting a second battery. What have they done in the European countries where they provide a second battery for cold starting as OEM equipment?

          • There's plenty of room for the second battery on the drivers side at the front of the engine bay. You can buy the battery tray as an aftermarket.

As long as Toyota have fixed the inner guard cracking issue

              • Looking at one now at the dealer while mine gets serviced. Moving the radio is a great idea, one I was going to do anyway. Front running lights that run down by the grill aren't LED, just a single globe. Personally think the original 150 looks better.

                • Plus cream interior looks awful.

The Apps button on the radio is for a Toyota phone app which syncs with the radio. If you want to find things like fuel station, landmarks etc it will be displayed on the screen but won't be a full gps nav system as such. You will be able to transfer stuff from your phone to the car screen via this app. So your phone will do the searching and results will display on the screen is my understanding

They've also tweaked the steering to become heavier at higher speeds, probably to eliminate the floating feeling when you're doing hwy/fwy speeds.

New hilux due in 2015, possible with v6 turbo diesel, then new prado 2016 or so with this new diesel engine

Only the VX and Kakadu get the LED DRL

I have just picked up a GXL this week and yes no LEDs they are halogen bulbs with a single bulb in the corner for parking lights.
What Im confused about is the daytime running lights, the book says on Halogen lights the daytime running lights are the low beam headlight with a reduced intencity but as far as I can tell in day and night its the same, so as soon as you start the engine the headlights come on, even the symbol on the dash lights up, cant see anyway of them being turned off.

Well that's rubbish by Toyota, they increase the light size by that much to hold one small globe. Would've made more sense to have the led's across the whole range.

An Led strip across the headlight cluster would have been better use of space, n better design too. Drooping the headlights just to have LEDs, then a stupid globe for the GX n GXL, is dumb. Just looking at their designs, seems like Toyos affluencial engineers are making design decisions. Engineers are not designers. Look at the infrastructure bridges etc bet qld n nsw at the border. Big diff bet the bridges in nsw n qld,...because the bridges in nsw are designed by architects, n in qld the ugly concrete structures are designed by main roads engineers who are part of the furniture.

                            • Time to throw out the old furniture Toyota! I'll personally bring a trailer if u needs, ..oh but it won't be towed by a Prado, not enough capacity.
