Had a call from my local dealer last Friday and they're registering a Kakadu and having test drives next week ?

This also matches with what I've been told - dealers expecting to have further details (pricing?) this week then main release around 11 November.

Maomaocat - if it helps the dealer I spoke to mentioned they expect most changes in specifications to be on GX and VX

Just heard from my dealer that delivery of new stock to turn up this Thursday the 24th. Media embargo will be in place till early Nov then public launch.

Only you can decide if you have done the right thing though I think Schrader has it right. If there are major changes with driveline etc then the new model might be worth waiting for but as it is all the accessories you will now need to buy have been tried! Not need to wait for 6 months for a new bullbar which may or may not suit etc.

I'm in the process for sorting out the finance on a new 2013 Kakadu for which I paid a deposit last week. Have I made a mistake? Should I have waited for the new model?

No mistake because you should have gotten a really good deal on the out going style, and there is really only small cosmetic changes.

My local sales guys don't get training on the new Prado until early Nov but they were still expecting stock in the next week. Maybe not for public viewing ?

Just emailed my local dealer for info and update on release date, his response was:

"There is a media embargo until November so unfortunately still do not have any further information in regards to pricing."

Late Oct becoming Nov now?

Went into my local dealer today to get more info and they had only one VX and two GX in stock the VX was a cancelled order. They have an 8 day sale on at the moment so wanting to clear the last of stock not being to forthcoming with the update info.. And where's our 5 year warranty ?
