Cat is lucky to be alive. It changed its mind about sitting on the bonnet

          • Had a HR on my GX work Prado never any problems it didn't hang down as it sat behind the rear bumper and bolts on the rear cross member much better clearance and from memory the price was better.
But looks like that part # R2640 has been discontinued.. so it may not fit on the VX after having another look.

            • Can someone post a pic of a new arb or other bar when they start to show up. The decision to go to a Lux is becoming easier every day.

              • I think you'll find all the major players are still working on the new front bars, won't see any for a while.

I think its a case of the look "growing on you" over time. I remember when I first saw the 120 series (a year before I bought mine) I thought it looked absolutely repulsive (both front and rear).

                  • I've just ordered a GX, getting ARB sahara bar, OME suspension and snorkel. Not sure on the eta for the ARB bar, but wait and see. Will post pics when it turns up.

                    • Called the dealer today $3200 for the genuine bar fitted. They have stock in Brisbane. Seems a bit steep for something that won't take a winch

I feel the genuine towbars hang too low compared with the 120 i had prior to my current Prado. He said that they are starting to fit more of the Hayman Reece towbars as they dont hang as low and are less in your face from the back. Has anyone fitted a new Hayman Reece and what's your thoughts?
I got the dealer to fit a Hayman Reece. Looks much less obnoxious than the Toyota one, particularly on a white car. They didnt have a problem throwing it in so it must cost them around the same as the genuine one.

                          • I'm now hearing about this facelift Prado...not too sure if i like it though, front end looks a bit unusual!

So is this just a 'facelift' for the 150 series Prado? Or something like a 155 series as an upgrade of a 150? Lol just wondering...
