Fitting E-Toll Tag to Prado Windscreen

I searched for a thread but found nothing, so I'm looking for some help.
I have to bow to work pressures & be urbanised during the week for quite a few weeks,
Have had to get myself an E-Tag here in Brisvagas BUT where do you install it.
It says install on the windscreen behind rear view mirror, EXCEPT when you have metallic windscreen or sunblock dots.
Now I'm not too sure where to place this bloody thing.

    Cheers Ben

I have mine behind the central mirror. Stuck to the windscreen just below the darkened area at the top of the screen. It is hidden from driver view behind the mirror. Works fine round Sydney. I have a 2010 GLX.

Top left hand corner of windscreen, I don't even notice it's there. putting it below the dots behind the centre mirror looks crappy from the outside IMO.

        Cheers

Unless you,ve got a big pradopoint.com sticker across the top of the windscreen to hide it!

Yep Have an E-TAG and mounted on the dots behind the rear view mirror. Works ok on a 150 Altitude. Out of sight of the driver which suits me. Cheers.

Have mine mounted on the dots to the right of the mirror, works fine. Didn't want to mount it to the left as I have the rain sensor there for the wipers, it would have stuck out too much.

BTW, this question has been asked before; thread was titled "where to mount e-tag" or similar.

ETA: Here it is, has some pics too :- http://www.pradopoint.com/showthread...ighlight=mount

                Thanks guys & thanks fido666
I just found that thread, no matter what else I typed in it didn't come up.
God I find the searches fickle sometimes.

It was my thread that's why I knew it was there so don't feel bad. I notice I left the hyphen out of e-tag too, maybe that's why you didn't find it. Just had a look back through that thread and realised it only had 1 photo, let me know if you need a pic of how mine is installed.

Yep, the search function is pretty hopeless on these bulletin boards.

I mounted mine in the dots with no problems.

Not sure where to put it yet thanks to geniuses at RMS/RTA. Before, I don't need a tag in my car as my rego number is link to my tag account and get charged to that automatically. From 1st July, they changed the rule so that, you have to have individual tag in each car otherwise, you will have to fork out additional fees etc. At the moment, my dashcam is sitting behind the rearview mirror so, don't want to add another device there.

Ben, don't worry about the dots it all still works.

Thanks Hutch, that's the general feeling I'm getting, but being new to this Toll thing I wasn't quite sure.
                          & thanks All.
