DVD Region code

Hi guys, I've got a 2013 Prado Altitude and it has one of those flip down DVD players in it. I have a few European DVD's that unfortunately don't play as the in build DVD player has a region lock on it. Does anyone know the unlock code for this?

Most DVD players will let you change the region a few times but will then
lock to the last region so be careful if you change it.

In the past the cheap Chinese units would let you unlock the region but there was a
crack down to some degree and a lot of the manufacturers to the unlock out.

To get around this you could use a program like DVD shrink to remove the region coding
and re-burn to a dvd which may remove the reqion coding but I'm not sure about that one.

Else maybe if someone else can't come up with an unlock code.

That usually applies only to computer players. Not sure about car DVDs. Some home players can be unlocked from the remote. With the tray open or disk unloaded try pressing the zero button 3 times in succession. If you're lucky a menu will appear with region options. Press zero again for region free and you're good to go.
