      • Took it out yesterday.

        Still running stock suspension.
Looks like it is time to look at a lift, although we did get through everything without damage.

        • Fitted an AMTS rear wheel spacer. Now have room for the 285 spare and are looking at making a rear light bracket for a 6" led light bar I have had lying around waiting for a spot to put it. Here is the wheel spacer.Click image for larger version

            • I remodelled a rim and trye. Thought they were a bit to functional.

Good Driving technique can get you a lot further in most cases.

Its generally the other brands who are surprised where a stock Prado will go

I'll be visiting John again in the new year...he did my first Prado suspension lift...spot on!
I went with the Dobinsons and Bilstiens, was going with them originally, then decided I would give the Ironman Foam Cell Pros a go. Un fortuntely they didn't fit the dobinson springs and Ironan springs for the Prado were not available.

so, did not want to wait, so settled with the Billies......

                    we know who mentioned that

                    thanks

not to bad for a shopping trolley
50mm lift maybe a touch over
I would like to try to keep the ride comfort and maintain the current flex.

by keeping the spring rate about the same as stock. suggestions?

last time out on the same track Black120 was there and they were surprised how the to Prado's went.

All the vehicle's there yesterday had big lift.
I was asked twice are you sure your going up there.
some didn't know I had done that before.

One bloke there moved from a Prado to a so called more capable Patrol and had to reveres back and put the lockers in to get up.

                              • Mounted a rear 20w Led light and bracket to AMTS wheel spacer. Came up a treat. Sits right between spare wheel and back window. Rear wiper misses it by 5mm or so. Now I just have to wire it up when I get a chance over the holidays. Click image for larger version
