Glove Box Question

Hi All
I have picked up a new GXL and I have trying to figure out what the card holder looking thing in the glove box is.
I have used the search function and google and have not come up with an answer.
If any one could let me know what the card holder looking thing on the inside top right of the glove box is would be great.

Knowing my luck it is a silly question and I should know what it is.

It's a card holder LOL. I think it's intended to put your petrol card in or maybe even a toll card or security pass for your office or apartment car park.

I put my eftPOS card in there and it keeps spitting money out.... Must be an upgrade on the Altitude.. ;-)

It's for your roadside assist card for when the Prado karks it in the middle of nowhere.

Wow it really is a useless card holder. Well that sucks. Might be better to change it out, blank it off and put a USB or two in that instead.

I still can't believe it is just a card holder. The misses and I laughed when we opened it and said it must be something better than that, or an option for a higher spec Prado.

I don't think it can be removed, it's moulded into the glovebox casing on mine.

It's for your "pay and go" card. Simply drive the Prado through the shop near the checkout and it will scan and pay so you can leave without having to get your wallet out :-)

The inner "card " bit can be removed if you pull the glovebox out, leaving the outer square surround which would be easy to make a bracket for to hold something small.

After seeing the genuine usb socket in the dash costs about $70, I am thinking of putting a few USB ports in there for my in-dash nexus 7 install.

Hi I am new here so please be kind. I was wondering if anyone has their card holder including screws laying around that they wish to sell. I have a toyota prado kakadu 2009. I tried the toyota dealer and they only sell the inner bracket/front facia plate idividually but not the inner housing seperately. They said I would have to buy the whole glovebox at $120. I bought mine second hand so I am guessing the owner took it out for whatever reason. Would be happy to have a card holder in there as I would actually use it as that. Thanks.
