Mine always works for about 30 minutes before freezing. Overall the interface between the iPod and the Prado seems to be very flaky. I must say in this day and age I am very disappointed with this. I will keep investigating.

Hi all,
I have had the same issue with my 160GB classic iPod, connected through the USB cable. It plays a few tracks then locks up. It's frustrating as I am usually listening to an audiobook and have to go back and find my place usually 1-2 times a trip. To get around this I have been putting mp3's on my phone and using Bluetooth which hasn't had a problem.
Using the phone for calls which automatically stops the iPod can cause it to lock up too.
This has occurred in 2 different 150 series that I have driven recently too.
Sorry, I don't have anything constructive to add, but will be following this thread to see if anyone can find a fix.

Hi. thought Id give an update on the iPod freezing thing. I went out and bought a second hand iPhone 64gb to use as an Ipod 64gb. Holds the same amount of music as my iPod classic 120gb (all that i have) but is working fine. I don't know of its the differing firmware between the 2 or the fact one is a SSD while the other is a disc drive. Anyhow so far so good.

If it has a HDD, it might need more power than what the USB port can dish out. Or there is incompatibility with the USB host controller.
Another thing you could do is a factory reset and then reload the songs. If the song files are fragmented, it will cause the HDD to jump all over the place to 'piece' together the song.Last edited by amts; 19-03-2015, 02:49 PM.
